Where are you based?

Flora Couture Designer Flowers is based in the Central South Island of New Zealand. However we are very flexible and enjoy working in different environments. We regularly design and create flowers throughout New Zealand.

Do you have a studio?

Because we work all over NZ it is just not practical for us to have a studio. We are however happy to meet with you in your home, at your venue or at another location to discuss your needs and for your to see examples of our work. We even make ‘mock’ table arrangements and/or bouquets  so that you can see what your wedding or event flowers will look like.

I’m getting married in Auckland, can you do my wedding flowers?

Absolutely! We often work throughout NZ, so providing the date for your wedding is available we can certainly do your wedding flowers.

How much do you charge?

Because every wedding and event is different we do not have ‘Standard Prices’, for each event we have an in depth consultation, and from there we create a proposal including prices. Prices, take into account so many factors, for example; how many guests, how many arrangements, location, venue, time of year, how many staff are required, colours, style, availability of flowers, containers, installations and the list goes on.

We do however have three simple wedding packages for small and budget conscious weddings, these do not require in depth consultations. See the prices section, for more information on these.

Are your flowers good quality?

Our flowers are the freshest available. We source them from both local and international growers, and have a very high standard. We simply do not use inferior flowers or foliages.

How does the design process work?

After an initial consultation, involving a series of questions, pouring over our portfolios, and numerous design books, discussing exactly what the client wants. We put forward a proposal, once the client is happy with the proposal, contracts are signed to finalise the agreement, a 50%, non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date. Flowers, foliages and any props are ordered. Approximately 1 month from the event Flora Couture Designer Flowers will contact the client  to confirm the delivery details. Full payment is required 7 days prior to the event. Then the creation process begins and your stunning flowers are delivered and/or set up at your venue.

How many weddings and events do you do per week?

Flora Couture Designer Flowers works very hard to ensure that every wedding and event is of the highest quality and provides superior service and attention to detail. Because of this commitment, we limit the number to weddings and events to a maximum of three per week. Dates are booked on a first come, first served basis.
